4 days a mixture out of sunburn, cold nights, dirt, uncomfortable insulation mattresses, cold and icy feet and many more. Why the hell I'm always joining those trips? Probably hard to imagine, but its fun.
This time it wasn't connected to "mountain-stuff" at all.
It was time for rafting.
8 brave folks from Altus took all their stuff and went to the river золотой китат (golden Kitat)
8? Not exactly. Let me introduced you to our smallest member Рэмбо Дудевич Солдатов (Rambo Dudewitsch Soldatov )

The goal was to go round about 100km on the river with two pretty awesome catamarans. We went through lovely nature, only nature and nothing else. No bridges, no streets, no camping sites, not even a a phone connection. Which was a big surprise for me. In whole Europe you probably couldn't find a similar river which is so less developed. and more remote than this one. We were dropped next to a bridge with all the equipment and food for 4 days.
Good circumstances for an adventure.
But somebody set the work in front of the adventure. So we had to prepare our catamarans. I've never seen such an easy and effective construction. A few aluminium bars and wood sticks which where attached together with rubber stripes from old car tubes and that without a single knot.
After we tied our backpacks to the catamaran which were also our seats we could start.
The river was a quite one but nevertheless the first rapids made some people scream. I'm proud to say that no one from my catamaran screamed.
In the evening we found a nice meadow for staying during the night.
We cooked over open fire. And thats a point I really like about water tourism. The food is so much better. When I have to carry everything on my back I would never take canned food with me. But its so much tastier than dried stuff. And it was really nice to see how other people supply themselves. I'm sure that at least the dried bread will become a part of my hiking-cuisine.
And we also had beer. Which is an unusual luxury for me on typical tours.
By the way. Why is it always the German guy who is buying the most alcohol? Where have all the stereotypes gone?
The days where more or less similar but it was getting colder.
Unfortunately we don't have much pictures from stuff which happened because were busy with running up and down on a small stripe grass to become warm again. But I can tell you that it is a nice few if 8 People do this with helmets and lifejackets on.
And now a few impressions and the proof that we also had good weather.
What would be a trip without proper motivation?
And last but not least. The result
